Volvo is warming up for its 2027 centenary with a special edition of the FH Aero, FH, FH16 Aero and FH16. Announced on 19 August, the package adds a distinct interior and exterior treatment rather than introducing an entirely new truck platform.

Inside are two-tone seats, anniversary embroidery, tan leather details and illuminated steps. A welcome-light motif and revised speaker grilles add to the effect. Volvo said orders would open in September 2026, across most of the configurations offered in those ranges.

The look is the story. The specification still needs checking.

Our buying lens: a special edition can be desirable without being the best specification for every job. Separate the anniversary finish from the base vehicle, powertrain, service package and operating requirements. Ask which items are standard on the exact quotation, rather than assuming every truck pictured carries the same equipment.

For enthusiasts, the details are the attraction: the way the cab’s finishes and anniversary identity come together. For an operator, the useful follow-up is how that specification will be supported over the vehicle’s working life. We have not driven this edition or verified a South African price or delivery slot.
